Vitamin B14

Vitamin B14 is a term occasionally used to refer to substances like xanthopterin, a naturally occurring pterin compound found in some foods and biological systems. Unlike well-established B vitamins (such as B12 or folate), Vitamin B14 lacks extensive scientific validation regarding its necessity or benefits for humans.  

Preliminary studies indicate that pterin-based compounds may contribute to metabolic processes, including potential roles in enzymatic reactions and cellular energy pathways. However, these findings are largely based on early-stage research or animal studies, and conclusive evidence in humans remains scarce.
